The Buffet Table Luncheon Party

The buffet table luncheon party is similar to the morning brunch, but is probably more popular with the men. When I do them, I keep them simple, and they look like more trouble than they are!

Where

You can visit a local restaurant for their buffet, or you can create a great buffet luncheon at home.

Invitations

The invitations depend on whether the table will be set just before a big football game on TV or whether the guys are going to head out for a round of golf, or whatever the guest of honor is planning on doing that afternoon. The invitations can reflect that. Get invitations (or ideas) at eInvite.

Decorations/Favors

Food/Cake

The food would be set up so that everyone would help themselves and it could include: cold cuts, bread, mayo/mustard, cheese (to make sandwiches), chips, veggies (raw and cooked), any type of casserole, meat balls, potatoes, and pretty much anything the birthday person likes. You can do a buffet theme too, like Mexican food (have tacos, enchiladas, beans, rice, etc.) or Chinese (rice, soup, egg rolls, and several entrees). Games/Entertainment

If the birthday person doesn't have additional plans, games can include board or card games, or even watching a movie while or after everyone eats. If you want to play music, you can get some ideas for great music here.
